Happy Birthday son. I'm writing this from heaven, where I dwell with God above. I am resting here with angels, who surround me now with love. But though I may seem far away, we will never truly part. For part of me lives on with you, forever in your heart.

July 2, 2022 - another birthday son and we miss you. God saw you getting tired, so he wrapped his arms around you, and whispered "Come to Me"...You didn't deserve what you went through. So He gave you needed rest, God's garden must be beautiful, HE ONLY TAKES THE BEST. Love you, Mom

Happy Birthday son. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again.

When you were 14 you enlisted as a Sea Cadet and took your basic training in San Diego, .CA for two weeks. I was proud you were given that opportunity to serve.
I remember when you and Phil were working the oyster bar at the restaurant on the Wharf. You and Phil were having a great time doing what you did best.
Later, you worked at the Marriott Hotel for years and became Chef Willi's right hand man.
You have been a great son and I'm going to miss you making me your famous creme brulee. God bless, love you so much, my son.

Remember when you and Phil were working the oyster bar at the restaurant on the Wharf. You stood outside and greeted the customers to go inside. You and Phil were having a great time doing what you did best, providing excellent meals and customer service. You later worked at the Marriott Hotel for years and became Chef Willi's right hand man.
You have been a great son and I'm going to miss you going in my refrig and making me your famous creme brulee. God bless, love you so much, RIP my son.

I am deeply saddened and my heart is broken by the news of the sudden death of Chuck. Prayers and fond memories are what I have to remember Chuckie, working in the restaurants near the pier in Monterey when I was living there. These are memories I will never forget. All my thoughts and understanding are with you and your family. May God give you the strength to bear this grief. Remembering him will forever remain in my heart. May be rest in peace. Love, Barbara
Remember me when flowers bloom early in the spring.
Remember me on sunny days in the fun that summer brings.
Remember me in the fall, as you walk through the leaves of gold.
And in the wintertime, remember me, in the stories that are told.
But most of all, remember me, each day right from the start, for I will be forever near for I live within your heart.

I still can't believe you're among the angels now. I just don't understand what happened, I thought surgery went well, you were doing fine, as far as I can see but then the hospital called and said you took a turn for the worse. Things happened so fast and I'm sure you didn't even think this was going to be the outcome. I miss you brother...Love Christine

I am so sorry for losing your son. Chuck was my right hand man for 10 years when he worked at the Marriott with me. Chuck could cook, whether it was for 2 people or for 2,600 people. Every off property event that I signed us up for, Chuck always went with me. From the Aquarium, Chowder fest, or Pebble beach Chef's de Classique. When Chuck was with you, you knew the food would be hot and tasty. He took pride in his work. Chuck also was a sponge, he wanted to learn as much as he could to become a manager. Then one day he did, he became a manager. Shows that when you really want something you just have to go for it 100 %. Chuck touched so many employees at the Marriott, helping them to become better cooks and people, just by helping them by being a hands on person. He was right there shoulder to shoulder showing them that he was there for them. Chuck was not the kind of person that sat at a desk, his place was in the kitchen getting his hands wet. When I first met Chuck, he had some issues that we talked about. But his desire for becoming a better person was more important to him. One day at a time, we worked together to reach his goal. I watched Chuck become a happy person, All the local Chefs respected Chuck because of his talent and the quality of food he brought to the Marriott. He put the Marriott on the map in Monterey for food quality. I am still in shock that a good person that cared more for others than he did for himself could be taken from us.
I will miss him. I know many other will also miss him too.
Chef Willi Franz
