Obituary of Warlito Legayo Merafuentes

Warlito Legayo Merafuentes, age 78, passed away on December 27, 2020 in Riverbank, California. Warlito was born in the Phillipines on August 26, 1942.

Warlito was a forklift operator for most of his working career. He was also a devoted member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Seaside. He spent much of his life in Marina, California, and he enjoyed playing at the local card room. In his 50's and 60's, the local community new him as "Wally", the sweet man that would walk around town giving out $1 coins to strangers.

Warlito is survived by his children- sons, Tony Merafuentes and Michael Merafuentes; daughter, Pamela Kabaluk, and son, Warlito Merafuentes Jr. He also leaves behind his siblings- brothers, Gaudencio (Willy) Merafuentes, Benjamin Merafuentes, and Robert Merafuentes, and sister, Judy Carole Foster. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gaudencio and Maria, and his beloved granddaughters, Jennifer and Desiree.

Private services will be held at Mission Mortuary and Memorial Park in Seaside, California.
