Obituary of Willie David Kight

WILLIE DAVID KIGHT JR JUNE 1, 1932 - APRIL 14, 2011 Marina-- Willie D. Kight, died April 14th 2011 at Monterey Pines Monterey, after a short illness. He was born June 1st, 1932 in Perry, Fl. and resided in Marina for the past 43 years. Mr. Kight, was a loyal and faithful member of Holy Assembly Missionary Baptist Church. Some of his loves were his family, church and people in general. He loved singing and serving the lord. He served in the U.S. Army for 23 years. He was a Purple Heart recipient with two clusters. Mr. Kight is survived by his sons Bradley Kight and wife Vanessa of Sacramento, CA; Charles Kight of Citrus Heights, CA; daughters Ruther Scott and Doris Williams and husband Victor of Marina CA; Sharlene Kight of Sacramento, CA; and a host of Grand Children and Great Grand Children. Mr. Kight was preceded in death by his wife Edna Kight, a daughter Rose Marie Kight, a son Willie D. Kight and his sisters Lillie B. Goston, Ernestine Kight-Green. Visitation will be Tuesday April 19th from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm at Seaside Funeral Home 1915 Ord Grove Ave. Seaside CA. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday April 20, 2011 at 11:00 am at Holy Assembly Baptist Church 3305 Abdy Way Marina, CA. Commital to follow at Mission Memorial Park with full military honors.
