Obituary of Emily A. Swanson

After a courageous and fierce battle with lung cancer and surviving much longer than anyone expected, Emily Annette (Feliciano) Swanson (aka "Mama Flea”) passed away peacefully on May 29, 2018.

Emily Annette Swanson, was a life long resident of Monterey, CA., she was born on December 15, 1961 to Patricia and Ralph Feliciano. She was a devoted Grandmother, Mother, Sister, Auntie, and she was such an amazing friend to have. She was survived by her Son Freddy (Feliciano) Swanson, and her 3 brothers Ronnie, Donnie, and Anthony (Tony) Feliciano, her grandsons Dominic and Philip Feliciano, and her niece Emily Natasha Feliciano.

To know Emily was a gift she such an amazing person. Emily had a generous soul. Many can attest to this. She never met a person in need that she didn’t find some way of helping. The best words would describe Emily are altruistic, tough, humorous, audacious , loving, a person who spoke her mind.

Annette had a love for Christmas movies, trees, Pepsi, California scratch off tickets, helping those less fortunate than her, spaghetti, bingo, treasure hunting a.k.a. dumpster diving, cooking, shoes, and being surrounded by her loved ones.

She is now with her beloved daughter and parents getting the party started for those she left behind.
