Obituary of Inocencia S. Contapay

Inocencia Contapay, 92, of Marina, passed away peacefully Friday January 19, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 28 1925 in Manilla Philippines. Inocencia married Simplicio Contapay in 1943 and moved to the United States with her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends. Inocencia was not only an amazing mother to her 4 children, but also an active member Filipino-American Club and presence in the Marina community. She was preceded in death by her husband, Simplicio Contapay after 57 yrs of marriage. Inocencia leaves to cherish her memories her four children: Samson Contapay - Sierra Vista AZ, Samuel Contapay, Sims Contapay, Solita Contapay- all from Marina CA, four grandchildren: Samuel Contapay- Boulder Colorado, Erick Contapay- Salinas CA, Susan Contapay- San Tan Valley, AZ, and Emir Contapay-Sierra Vista AZ, and 8 great grandchildren. The family would like to give a very special thank you to all of her caring doctors, nurses and the entire staff at Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula. The viewing will be held at Mission Memorial Park(1915 Ord Grove Ave, seaside CA) , Wednesday January 31th from 4-7pm. Mass will be held at St Jude's Parish(303 Hillcrest Ave, Marina CA) with the burial to follow(Mission Memorial Park) at 10:30 on February 1st.
