Obituary of John Paul King

John Paul King III was born October 18, 1959 in Salinas, California to Carolyn and John Isles King. He attended Ord Terrace Elementary School, Martin Luther King Junior high School and he graduated from Seaside High School. John Paul loved to play sports especially Football and Baseball. John Paul met and married Sandra Edwards on August 12, 1999. John Paul worked for the Gov't packing and moving for over 11 years. John Paul accepted Christ at an early age of fifteen years old. He was baptized by Reverend H.H. Lusk Sr. He became a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. He was a member of the Youth and Young Adult choir and Men's chorus. John Paul also attended Madonna Del Sasso Church in Salinas, California. John Paul's favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys. John Paul also had a great sense of humor, in fact he was The King of Comedy, JP loved to impersonate his mother, Carolyn. He was preceded in death by his Grandmother, Janie Jones; uncles, Ronald and Donald Jones; Aunts, Rose Jones and Terry Barnes,; stepfather, George Gooden; step daughter Latonya Shiver; great niece, Reiko Hill; mother in-law, Luvena Camel; and his best friend, Marvin McKnight. John Paul leaves to mourn his life and cherished memories, a wife, Sandra King; six stepchildren, Allen Camel, Bobby Edwards, Harold Morrison, Marcus Washington, Ramona Brenda Lee, Tonya Harrison; and a host of grandchildren; Sister-in-laws, Betty Robinson, Ann and Curtis Johnson, Margaret Moore, Susie and Walter Purnell, Sharon and Wilford Jacobs, Aggie and BJ Camel, Pricilla White, Mozell and Tommy Hill; Brother-in laws, James Jimmy Camel, David and Ann Camel, William and Annie Camel. Also cherishing his memories are mother, Carolyn King; Aunt, Ethel Mae Jones; Brother, Aaron (Gator) Bibbens; Three sisters, Yulunda and Chris Morse, Lyndell and Henry Obasilou, Carolyn Spencer, Ron Spencer; God sister, Diana Camel; Three nieces, Jazzmin Spencer, Chloe Obasilou, Kayla Morse; Two great nieces, Arryanna Hill-Braggs, Mikayla Mason-Braggs; Seven nephews, Michael Braggs Jr., Charles Kimbrough Jr., Quincy Spencer, Henry Obasilou Jr., Aaron Bibbens Jr., Brandon Obasilou, Max Obasilou; and Four great nephews, Da'jon Brown, Ty'amir Braggs, Jordan Braggs, Ezekiel Braggs; Special Friends, Karlette Anderson, Isaiah and Mary C, Juan Slorez, Luis Banuelous, Cookie King, Trisha Sampson, Emily (Collins) Willie Graham, Reverend Whitfield, Pastor Bruce Rivers, Pastor Carter, and a host of other relatives and friends. A wake service will be on Wednesday February 25, 2015 from 12:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Mission Memorial Park & Seaside Funeral Home, 1915 Ord Grove Ave. in Seaside. Funeral services will be on Thursday February 26, 2015 at 12:00 P.M at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. H.H. Lusk officiating, 390 Elm Ave. in Seaside. Burial services on Friday February 27, 2015 at 2:00 P.M at Mission Memorial Park & Seaside Funeral Home.
