Obituary of Beatrice Miller

Born: Dec. 31, 1925 in Illagan, Isabela, Philippines. The youngest daughter in a large Filipino family to Juan and Juana Yapp. A World War II survivor, she met the love of her life, SP5 Hazel Miller, of Kershaw, SC while he was stationed in Manila. She married him 1947 and came to the U.S. Eventually stationed in Ft. Ord, they settled here in Seaside for the rest of their lives. I was born in 1959, their only child. My mother was always very kind and hardworking. She was a committed wife even thru difficult times. They were married 52 years until his death in 1999. Always committed to our family, I remember her sending monthly money orders to help both sides of the family when i was growing up. She was a saver, she knew where every penny went. My mother loved to cook. Pancit, adobo, and lumpia were her favorites. She was always there for me. When my daughter Yvette was born, she was there for her too and she became like a second mom to her. They had a special relationship. Always thinking of us, she sent monthly care packages that seemed to arrive just when needed. From San Diego to Ohio, she came to visit me and my growing family. Most recently she suffered from dementia and i moved her with me to Kansas, where I thought she would live the rest of her life. But, she longed to go home and die here so she could be buried with her husband. I could only honor her last wish. She was lovingly taken care of by her granddaughter, Yvette in her final years. The last of her generation, she leaves behind her daughter Victoria (Hazel Miller) Fuller and beloved granddaughter, Yvette Dunn, the rest of my 6 kids: Darryl, Alexandra, Ashley, Sterling, and Spencer, 9 great grand kids and 6 great great grand kids, several nephews and nieces who all love you and appreciate all you have done for us. Good bye mama, RIP with daddy. Victoria
