Obituary of Benny L. Jackson

Benny L. Jackson, 75, of Seaside, passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 19, 2013. He was born July 1, 1938, in Chickamauga, Georgia. Benny served with the U.S. Army in Korea, during the war, as a Radio Relay & Carrier Operator with Co. B, 845th Engr Bn (HC), Ft Polk, LA. He later went on to work in the hospitality industry until his retirement. Mr. Jackson is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; sons, Mark, Randall (Trish), and Craig (Tasha); brothers, Bill "Sherman," Bill "Junior;" his grandchildren, Kyle, Madison, Chase, and Kylee. In addition, he is also survived by many nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his father, William Edward Jackson, Sr.; his mother, Ruth Francis O'Brien; and his brother, Sidney Jackson. Internment will take place at Mission Memorial Park, Seaside, CA. A remembrance for Benny is planned for a later date. The Jackson family would like to extend a "special thank you" to the Seaside Fire Department.
