Obituary of Alfred Washington

- Alfred (Sonny) Washington Jr passed away, surrounded by two brothers on July 26, 2017 at the age of 63 at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula in Monterey, CA. He was born January 5, 1954 in Natchitoches, LA and had been a resident of Seaside/Monterey for 61 years. Sonny attended schools in the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District and graduated from Seaside High School, Class of 1973. Sonny was preceded in death by both parents, Alfred and Marion Washington. He is survived by 9 siblings: James Comick, Betty Carter, Annie White, Margaret Morris, Ann Embers, Ray Washington, Lucille Cunningham, Bruce Washington and Jeannette Tatum. There will be a viewing at Mission Mortuary, 450 Camino El Estero, Monterey, CA on Friday, August 11th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Services will be held at Ocean View Missionary Baptist Church, 1200 Amador Avenue in Seaside on Saturday, August 12th at 11:00 AM.
