Obituary of Ikbal Munir

PEBBLE BEACH IKBAL MUNIR, age 81, died peacefully on May 25, 2011. Born in Baghdad, Iraq to Mr. and Mrs. Abdul Razzak Munir, Ikbal grew up with her older brother, two young sisters, and three young brothers. She graduated from Law College in Baghdad and occupied different government positions. She came to the states when the war between Iraq and Iran broke out. She maintained close relationships with family. A fan of the arts and travel, she spent most of her time drawing. She was an active member of the Arab American Club. Ikbal is survived by her brothers, Siham, Hisham, Isam; and her nephews, Sharif and Omar. We will all miss her. A reception will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at 4063 El Bosque Drive, Pebble Beach.
