Obituary of Barbara Lewit

Barbara Lewit October 21, 1930 ~ August 20, 2015 Monterey, CA Barbara, 84, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2015. She was married to Howard Lewit for 58 years and raised two sons. Her sons, Roger and Robert, daughter-in-law, Victoria and granddaughter, Rebecca, survive her. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Barbara married Howard, a Navy Officer and traveled the world dancing from assignment to assignment for 23 years. They loved to dance. They finally settled down in Monterey where she worked as a teller at the Monterey CU and Bank of America in Monterey. She was an avid volunteer at the Pacific Grove Museum and Legal Services for Seniors. Barbara was a truly caring woman and will be sincerely missed. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 21st at 2:30pm at Mission Memorial Park.
