She was born on February 16, 1944 in Wise County, Virginia. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Jimmy Fortner, Sr.; son, Jimmy Fortner, Jr.; Daughters, Dorothy Fortner and Brenda Jones; grandchildren, Shane Angrisani, Erika Phillips, Mikey Phillips, Antonio Effinger, James Fortner, Isabella Fortner; and great granddaughter, Myiah Angrisani; father, Carson Wise, Sr.; brother, Carson (Mae) Wise, Jr.; sister, Cathy Wise. She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy (Flannery) Wise. Private visitation at Seaside Funeral Home, 1915 Ord Grove Avenue, Seaside, California. Inurnment will be private.
