Obituary of Joseph Di Rocco

Joseph Di Rocco, 72, of Monterey, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011. Joseph is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rose Di Rocco (nee Napoli), three sons, Joseph Anthony, Vincent (Angie) and Anthony Paul (Cecilia) and two grandchildren, Joseph Elijah and Sara Jerusalem. In Sicily, Brother Lino (Maria) and sister Rosa (Salvatore) Barberi. He is preceded in death by younger brother Anthony, of Sicily and loyal canine companion, Sheba. ?Tailoring By Joseph? opened its doors on Pearl Street in 1969, moving to Calle Principal in 1973 and finally Carmel Crossroad Shopping Center in 1993. As a Master Italian Tailor, Joseph lovingly opened his doors to clients until 2006 when he retired. Joseph was a member of the Compari Club and the Monterey Elks Lodge. Visitation will be held at Mission Mortuary, 450 Camino El Estero, Monterey, CA, Thursday, June 2nd, 4:00-7:00pm with vigil to follow. Services will be held Friday, June 3rd at 10:00am at Carmel Presbyterian Church, corner of Ocean and Junipero in Carmel. Interment to follow at San Carlos Cemetery in Monterey.
