Obituary of Barbara Rose Wilcox

Barbara Rose Wilcox died on March 14, 2018. She was 100 years old. Barbara was born on October 6, 1917 in Buckley, Washington. She spent 41 years of her life on a farm outside Chicago, and 30 years in Salinas, California. She attended Business College in Milwaukee, and then joined the Quartermaster Corps (United States Army) in Washington DC, followed by the War Labor Board in Chicago, and the National Park Service in Washington at Mt. Rainer National Park. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Warren Spurny Wilcox, who died in Salinas on June 6, 2002. Her interests were family, the Episcopal faith, her home, reading, and events of the world. Barbara is survived by her only child, Warren S. Wilcox, his wife Pamela, and her two beautiful grand daughters, Kathleen Rose Wilcox and Eleanor Rose Wilcox. Barbara died surrounded by love.
