I am so sorry for your loss. Ron and I were kindred souls and I always thought of him as my older brother at Kings Point. I'm thankful I got to visit and have dinner with him and Patricia in Carmel a number of years ago. You'll never be forgotten Batman and certainly missed.

I think at one time, Ron had a goal to ski every mountain in the western U.S. He did all the bead work on the left side of his ski jacket, where his name is spelled.

I also know Ron in Iran along with Hotdog Brown.I was a USAf team member and a former Marine.Ron and I would kid a lot about the Marines and Navy.I was really the only USAF one who could joke like that.Ron was a lot of fun and always helped other when needed. He even went on a camel ride once with a bunch of us and fell off as the camel got up.My only regret I have is I was not able to find his sooner so we could talk as I have a few other team members.May the good Lord watch over him and also his family.R.I.P my friend
GARY MCPHERSON,
USAF RETIRED.

I remember Friday afternoons in the Trident Room, spilled beer, Ron taking a bite on a "target of opportunity," and the subsequent award ceremony the following week. What a guy!

Ron and I served together in Isfahan Iran training F-14 pilots and NFO's for the Iranian Air Force during '77/'78. Although we had many challenges living in the desert and flying our Navy's most modern fighter and training aircrews who spoke English, but were raised in an environment foreign to our own, we were successful in standing up the Iranian's F-14 Training Squadron and their first operational Fighter Squadron as well as all the supporting maintenance and logistical support as members of the Tactical Advisory Field Team, IRAN. Ron had a rye sense of humor which kept us all in stitches, but was always there with a clear cut vision of how to solve the problem with the greatest of ease. A great squadron mate, team mate and friend.
He left his footprint solidly on this earth and will live on forever through our fond memories of his friendship. Hot Dog Brown

I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to you. I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that you are never alone. Turn to the Holy Scriptures for guidance and to help soothe your heart. Psalms 34:18 assures us that God is near to those broken at heart and crushed in spirit. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Ron had a rare combination of good looks, intelligence, people skills and charisma that made him the ideal leader. My time spent working under his guidance was too short. He taught me that the humanity of a scientific organization was more vital than all the technical smarts in the world. We have lost one of the best! Condolences to Pat and all those who knew and loved him.

Only spent one week with both of you in Gulfport, but it was a trip I will always remember. He took the time to take me to New Orleans (in the little sports car), spent the day going many places that I had always heard about. I remember asking if we could go get a Hurricane drink that are so famous. I drank one, and it was so good, I said I may have another. He said, "well, you may want to try and stand up before you order another". He was right. One was enough!! Many other memories from that week with he and Patricia. Always kept up with both of them through Danita. So sad that he has left this world and all of his family and friends, but so glad he is not hurting any more and is whole again. God bless.

A year ago today, we had lunch with Ron, and we're inspired by his grace, great sense of humor and biblical perspective on life and death. He told us he would like his legacy to be, "I hope I can be as good a guy as my dogs think I am" Well, Ron, that is yet another event which you can proudly say, "Mission accomplished!"
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Pat and your entire family,
Arlene and Gary Krings

What a distinguished looking fellow ! since our days together at NPS and many years since it has been my honor to be his friend. we shared many hilarious moments swapping sea stories and embellishing our legends....all in fun. He loved his family, Pat, the pooches, his country and most of all life. His life was one of service to others and his country. I for one will miss him greatly as I know others will.
Rest you oars sailor...you are in the arms of angles.
Love you and be at peace Ron....Tom and Mary Callaham
