Obituary of Alfredo Arca Valiente

Alfredo Arca Valiente, 88, passed away on December 14, 2014, in Salinas, California. He was born November 29, 1926 in Kauai, Hawaii. He lived on the Monterey Peninsula for 52 years. He served 25 years in the U.S. Army, serving during World War II and the Korean War, and he was a Drill Sergeant during the Vietnam War. He was married to Lucy Valiente for 58 years, who preceeded him in death. Alfredo is survived by four daughters - Virginia Ciriako (Utah), Ginger Henry, Pearl Branco and Mary Jones (Fred) (California), 15 grandchildren, 1 deceased, 30 great grandchildren and 8 great, great, grandchildren. He is also survived by a Sister, Leonora Arca Baldovi, Uncle, Pedro Elika and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on December 22, 2014 at the Mission Mortuary from 10 am - 12 noon, burial with Military Honors at the San Carlos Cemetery, Monterey, California.
