Obituary of Raul B. Garcia

Marina - Raul B. Garcia, age 50, died peacefully at home on the morning of December 23, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Raul had lived in Marina for 47 years. He was born in Los Angeles, California at French Hospital to Lino and Teresa B. Garcia of Mexico City on January 21, 1963. Raul was a loving son, brother and uncle and a much loved and cared for member of the community. He was the fourth of seven children. Raul is survived by his parents, six siblings, Alicia G. Barrientos of Pacific Grove, Lino Garcia Jr. of Kingsburg, Arturo Garcia of Alamosa, CO, Alejandro, Teresa and Elizabeth Garcia of Marina, his 104 year old grandmother Guadalupe Garcia of Salinas and a dozen nieces and nephews. Raul was a very happy person with an ever-present smile, a loving spirit and an easy-going personality. He enjoyed listening to music. He was loved by all those that knew him and will remain forever in our hearts. Visitation will take place at Mission Mortuary at 450 El Estero in Monterey on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 5 to 7pm with recitation of the Rosary at 7pm. Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 3. 2014 at 11am at St. Jude's Parish in Marina, followed by entombment at San Carlos Cemetery in Monterey. A reception at Mission Mortuary will follow. Everyone welcome.
