Obituary of James Arnold Brown

James (Jim) Arnold Brown, 66, died on Sept. 13 in Carmel. He was born Nov. 23, 1943 in Seattle, Washington. A longtime Carmel resident, Jim attended Sunset Elementary and Carmel High School where he was a star athlete. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a B.S. in physical education before serving in the army. He was later a realtor on the Monterey Peninsula and in the Central Valley, a popular bartender at Carmel Valley?s Stirrup Cup, and more recently a property manager for Leidig Draper Properties. He was a generous man who enjoyed sports, photography, fishing, traveling, and a good laugh with his friends. He will be deeply missed by the many people who love him. He is survived by his only son, Stryker Brown Duggan, of San Francisco and his only brother, Michael Brown, of Carmel. At his request, no services will be held.
