Obituary of Emmet Grattan McMenamin

Emmet Grattan McMenamin, Jr. Feb. 25, 1914 ? Jan. 28, 2011 Emmet was a Monterey native. He was married to Margery, the love of his life, for 63 years. Nine children: Elizabeth Mitchell (deceased), Timothy (deceased), Marilyn Morrell, Patricia McEllis, Eileen, Joan, Paula, Daniel (deceased), Gerald. 9 Grandchildren; 3 Great-Grandchildren. Emmet served in the U.S. Army stationed in Australia & New Guinea with the 391st Engineers. He was a member of Knights of Columbus of St. Francis Xavier, 4th Degree of Knights of Columbus & American Legion Post 41. He loved the beach, square dancing with his wife & golf with his friends. Funeral Mass on Friday, Feb. 4 @ 9:30 AM @ San Carlos Cathedral.
