Obituary of Rosita Merilos Macapagal

Rosita Merilos Macapagal, born on November 30, 1940, in Dau Mabalacat Pampanga, has left us on March 6, 2024. She was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, auntie, granddaughter, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.

Rosita was the beloved daughter of Maria Salud and Bernardo Merilos and was one of six siblings. She shared her childhood with her siblings: Leonardo Merilos, Emilio Merilos, Eden Hipolito, Bernardo Merilos, and Ricardo Merilos. Together, they formed a bond that lasted a lifetime, filled with laughter, shared memories, and unwavering support for one another.

In her journey of life, Rosita was blessed with four daughters, Marilou Flores, Janet Usi, Judith Dela Cruz, and Leara Morga. She dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting her children, instilling in them values of love, perseverance, and compassion.

Seeking better opportunities for her family, Rosita moved to Monterey, where she embarked on a new chapter of her life. She found employment at CHOMP Hospital, where her warmth and kindness shone brightly as she served as a tray passer.

In addition to her daughters, Rosita was blessed with the joy of grandchildren who brought endless happiness and pride into her life. She adored each and every one of them and found immense joy in their presence.

Her grandchildren, Tharen Usi, Justin Dela Cruz, Nyra Usi, Jaden Morga, Kyla Usi, Isaiah Morga, and Kyler Morga, were the apple of her eye. She cherished every moment spent with them, watching them grow and celebrating their achievements with overflowing pride.

Rosita will be remembered for her infectious smile, her boundless generosity, and her unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

As we mourn the loss of Rosita, let us also celebrate the beautiful legacy she leaves behind, one filled with love, warmth, and the enduring bond of family.
