Obituary of David Leroy Lane

LTC (R) David Leroy Lane left this world and is now at peace with his late wife, Claudia Ann Clover Lane. Born in Florence, SC to Lillian Inez Thomas and Patrick Henry Lane. David was raised in Bishopville, SC, attended Wofford College and was a direct commission as an officer in US Army. He has had a distinguished and honorable career, serving in the Korean conflict and Vietnam War. LTC Lane served orders in Italy and Thailand and various tours within the USA.

David and Claudia spend their retirement years on the beautiful Monterey Coast, an area reminiscent of the Italian Coast that they dearly loved.

David is survived by his two daughters, Laura Lane-Williams (Takashi Kato) of Hereford, AZ and Sherry Lane of Marina, CA.

The family would like to express their deepest and most sincere thanks to the VNA Hospice team for their compassion, care, and support of a peaceful death.

David will be interred in Bethlehem Methodist Cemetery in Bishopville, SC at a later date in a private ceremony.
