Obituary of Nena Deocampo De La Cruz

Nena Deocampo De La Cruz died on the 9th of November 2022 after a brief illness. Nena was born in Capiz, Phillipines on October 25th, 1930 to the late Leandro Deocampo Sr and Severina Diaz-Deocampo.

Nena worked for the Army Air Force Exchange and retired after 30 years.

Nena was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry De La Cruz. She is survived by her daughter Annie Essay and husband Jeff ; son Jerry De La Cruz Jr. and wife Debbie; and son John De La Cruz; grandchildren Jason and Harmeena, Robert and Vanessa, Tomi and John, Michael, Melissa and Sean, Abbi and Luke, Corbin and Jaime, Divina, and Daniella and Jordan; and great grandchildren Bailey, Eliah and Ezra, Dylan and Roman, Starlin and Declan, Livy, Noelle, Elliott, Gemma, Selah, Milena, Estella, Reese, Eli, and Sienna, Leland, and Leena.

Nena was a very loyal and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved tending to her flowers, tomatoes, fruit trees, and doing crossword puzzles. Most of all she adored her husband and best friend Jerry, all of her children, and grandchildren.

Visitation will be at the Mission Mortuary, in Monterey, on November 21st , 2022, at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Service at 10:00 AM. Graveside Services will follow at the California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery at 11:00 AM. A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Marina..
