Obituary of John Odendhal

John Odendhal resided in Seaside for 62 years. He was born in Munich, Germany and moved to the Monterey Peninsula with his family in 1960. John, a life-long journeyman carpenter and member of the Local Union #605, passed away unexpectedly on October 27th, at the age of 72.

John had a real zest for life, always full of energy and ready to take on a new adventure.  He enjoyed traveling, camping, and boating to name a few.

John was the first born son of Harry Odendhal who preceded him in death in 1973 and Rose Odendhal who preceded him in death in 2004. 

John is survived by his wife Jirawan (Nuch) of 18 years, his three children Brittany Lyon (Tyler), Nicholas Odendhal (Ana), Christopher Odendhal (Megan) and six grandchildren KeAnna, Jade, Ruben, Nathaniel, Jordan, and Roman. He is also survived by his siblings Rosemarie McRorie and Frank Odendhal of Tennessee, 3 nieces and a nephew.
