Obituary of Carmela Mary Cardinale

Carmela Mary Cardinale, born to Rocco and Guiseppa DiMaggio, entered the gates of Heaven at the age of 84. She is preceded in death by her brothers Frank, Leonard and John DiMaggio. She leaves her husband of 65 years, Gasper, and their four children, Vince (Marietta), Nellie (Steve) Evans, Josephine (David) Plinck and Rocco (Liz-abeth). She also leaves her grandchildren, Ben and Brett Phifer, Trevor and Megan Plinck, and Emilio, Alessandro Cardinale, and many nieces and nephews. Carmela was deeply committed to her family and faith. Her kind, gen-erous spirit will live on in her children and grandchildren and all the lives she has touched. The family would like to thank Nancy Torres, Thaysa and Sarah for the won-derful care they gave to her. The funeral service will be Monday, November 7, 2022, at San Carlos Church. The rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m., with funeral Mass to follow at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
