Obituary of Beverly Jean Kavanagh

Beverly Jean Kavanaugh was born to Adeline Brazil and Anthony Souza on February 15,1940 in Modesto, Ca. Bev went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 27,2022 at age 82. Beverly was a resident of Pacific Grove for 60+ years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Robert Kavanaugh, her beloved son Marco Anthony Garcia, her sister Betty, brother Tony Jr., her niece Pam, and nephews Chris and Louie. She is survived by her daughter Adeline, grandchildren, Amber, Joey, Marco Jr, Whitney, Anthony & Analycia. Her great grandchildren, Aliyah, Isaac, Kevin, Shaina, Randy III, Anthony Kareem, Adaya & Milliana. She also leaves her Sister Laverne Reza and brothers Lloyd and Melvin Souza, and a host of nephews and nieces.

Beverly was a dedicated and hard worker. She worked at Sarita’s Mexican Restaurant in Seaside and Lucky’s in Pacific Grove for many years. When she wasn’t mingling with the customers at the grocery store, you could find her at the surrounding stores asking for donations for the Alzheimer’s association, she was one of Monterey county’s top individual donors and won many prizes for giving back to the association.

She will be missed most for her spitfire personality and heart of gold. She loved going above and beyond with decorations for Christmas and had the best Halloween costumes. She was an avid sports lover; she was a loyal fan to the San Francisco 49ers, and S.F. Giants. Beverly enjoyed spending time with her family, lounging around in her robe, with her cup of coffee and picking on the Grandkids. She will be deeply missed by many.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday September 16, 2022, at Mission Memorial Park, 1915 Ord Grove Ave Seaside, Ca 93955.
