Obituary of Nancy Tsuneko Tanaka

Nancy T. Tanaka, a longtime resident of the Monterey Bay Area passed away on May 19, 2022.

She was 93. Nancy was born in Japan and graduated from a university in Japan with a degree in

teaching. She taught high school before marrying and relocating to the United States. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, gardening and cooking.

She is survived by her daughter, Lillian Quihuiz (Jess), daughter-in-law, Genny Higa and four

grandchildren, Kristy Quihuiz, Raymond Quihuiz, Ashley Higa and Curtis Higa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kaz Tanaka and her son, James Higa.

At her request, private services have been held.
