Lydia deLeonIson died peacefully onApril 1, 2022inWestland House, Monterey,CAat the age of 90.Lydia is survived byherchildren, FreddieIson, Luddie Reyes and MelddieCruz; herchildren in law, Joan, Ricky& Rudy; hergrandchildren, Marvin, Aldrin, Marlon, Aljon, ReverendFatherLouie, Lloyd, Rochelle, Rachel, Franz, Fitz&Sharon; hergreat-grandchildren, Kylie, Xyle, Lia & Xander. Sheis preceded in death by herparents,Feliciano & Genoveva De Leon; hersiblings,Pedro, Jose, Mercedes & Rosalina.Lydia was born on April 29,1932inAngat, Bulacan, Philippines. She marriedAntonio Ison, hersweetheart since their teenage years, on July 7, 1957.Lydia was dedicated to her husband.She cared for him andloved him. Before she gave birth to her children, she was a beautician.Over 6 years, the couple welcomed 3 children into their home. Herchildren remember heras a happy and cheerful mother.She cared for her children while her husband was at work. When herhusbandretired from Philam Life in 1992 they eventually moved to the United States of America in 1993. Both eventually became US Citizens.Lydiawas a generous & dedicated individual who loved herchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and who was passionate about caring and raising them. She also loved her husbanddeeply. They both have a beautiful love story that is difficult to find in today’s world. When Antonio was working Lydia served him. After they retired in the United States, Antonio became the person to serveLydia. Antonio served and loved Lydia until he was hospitalized and passed awayin 2019. Viewing is scheduled on Thursday, April 21, 2022from2pm –5pmat Mission Memorial Park, 1915 Ord Grove Ave., Seaside, CA. On the same day, Father Louie Reyes will celebrate the Funeral Vigil with a Rosary at 3pm. The funeral Mass is scheduled for 11am on April 22, 2022and will be celebrated by FatherLouie Reyes at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, 303 Hillcrest Ave., Marina, CA. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lydia’s life. The family would like to thank the hospital staff atCommunity Hospital of Monterey Peninsulaand Westland House, Fr. Jerónimo Marcelo Fariñas, Pastor ofSt. Jude Catholic Church for allowing us to celebrate her funeral at the parish,and the staff of Mission Mortuary & Mission Memorial Park for their care and support.
