Obituary of Margaret Lamar

Margaret Lamar, 88 years young died peacefully on December 11, 2021.  Born November 21, 1933 in Vienna, Austria, to August and Margarete Schreiber.  Margaret was an only child, but was beloved by many Aunts and Uncles.  Margaret met the love of her life, Ralph at the very end of World War II, when he was stationed in Vienna.  Ralph and Margaret were married 66 years, until Ralph’s death in 2018. 

Margaret leaves behind 3 children, Elizabeth (Bill) Creecy, Robert (Jim) Lamar, Arlene (Bobby) Gordon, 2 granddaughters, Lauren Creecy, Megan Creecy Herman and 3 great grandsons of whom she was so proud of.  Her family would like to give a special thank you to the caregivers at Sunrise Monterey for their kind and compassionate care. 

Private family services will be held at a later scheduled date.  Margaret will be interred with her husband Ralph at the Veteran’s Cemetery at Fort Ord.   Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Margaret’s name.
