Benjamin Rodgers

Obituary of Benjamin Francis Rodgers

Benjamin Francis Rodgers was born in San Jose, California, the son of Pete and Marie Rodgers. He was a decorated Viet Nam War veteran who served in the Army as a Radio Telephone Operator and Adviser to the Vietnamese Army. His awards included the Bronze Star Medal, the National Defence Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Marksman medal.

Upon his return from Viet Nam, Ben married and began what would become his lifelong career as an Assembly Language programmer. In his spare time, Ben held a HAM radio operator’s license and was an accomplished woodworker and gardener.

A loving husband with a kind heart and a love for all things in nature, Ben is sorely missed. He is survived by Peggi, his wife of 34 years, and his sisters Julie Krzaszczak and Mary Rodgers.
