Obituary of James Lee Ernest Marks

James "Marty" Lee Ernest Marks was born on August 17, 1938 in Selma, Alabama and went to be with the Lord on January 11, 2021, in Monterey CA. After high school arty joined the Air Force as a Military, artillery loader from 1956-1960 while stationed at Misawa, Japan. He worked at Firestone in Salinas and as a professional mechanic on the Monterey Peninsula. Marty lived in Seaside, CA for most of his adult life. Marty loved life, and his family and friends. Marty fished, rode his Harley motorcycle, and was a die-hard Raiders fan and enjoyed playing his conga drums on the beach. He was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Seaside CA. He loved Pastor A.D. Dunham’s preaching.

                Marty is survived by his wife, Donna Marks and his only son, Adam Lee Marks. Daughters, Jackie Noble, Robin Marks, Tracy Marks, Michaelle Marks, Raquel Marks and Tasha Marks. Brother-in-law Don and sister-in-law Rosa. Many great and grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. He was proceeded in death by his mother Nancy Marks-Webster, sister Nancy Macklin, brother Ephraim “Teddy” Marks Sr. and grandmother, Elizabeth Marks.

A viewing was held at Mission Memorial Park 1915 Ord Grove Ave Seaside CA on January 21, 2021 at 11am – 1pm. Thank you for all your prayers, sincerely the Marks family.
