Christine Davis

Obituary of Christine Davis

Christine Davis passed away peacefully at the age of 69 from cancer, which she battled vigorously for 3 years. She was born Christine Schwarz to Antoine Bernhardt Aug 2, 1951 in Bamberg, Germany. She was the first of 3 girls.

She met her future husband in the Post Exchange on Warner Barracks in Bamberg where they met, fell in love, and the rest is history.

She married John Davis on March 2, 1973. In 1975 they returned to the U.S. to Fort Ord CA and decided to make a home here after her husband’s enlistment was up.

She started at Coastal Health as a receptionist and retired 30 years later as a Sr. Rep of the company.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, but she was an un-impetuous person and shared a special relationship with each person that she knew. She had an independent spirit but a warm and compassionate heart. She loved traveling back to Germany to visit her relatives and friends and texting them as well. She especially liked going for walks with Duke, her black Lab. Proceeding her in death was Antoine and Rudy Schwarz. Christine is survived by her Husband, John, daughters Scarlett (Jorg) and Nadja, and grandson Marius; sisters Dagmar (Manfred), Geli (Mike), nephews Marco (Barbara), Heiko (Corinna), Matthias (Anja), niece Verena (Hendrik), and other grand nieces and nephews.

It has been a privilege for us to share in her life. A private service is to be held at the Veteran cemetery in Fort Ord.
