Obituary of Marilyn Dianne Colby

Marilyn Dianne Colby, of Carmel, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7th at Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula. Marilyn was born on July 14th, 1944 in San Jose, CA, the daughter of Robert and Mildred (Happ) Battle, graduating from Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, CA. Marilyn lived and worked in Gilroy, Palo Alto, and Carmel in numerous sales positions, while also holding her realtor’s license.

She enjoyed watercolor painting, drawing, gardening, walking the beach with her dogs Casper and Willie, spending valuable time with her beloved companion, Jack, and volunteering at the Carmel Foundation, where Jack and her enjoyed spending time with friends and participating in many events.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Kristine (Colby) Elliott of Grimes, IA, grandson Tony Fisette of Urbandale, IA, grandson Dan Fisette of Phoenix, AZ, her companion Jack Kemsley of Carmel, CA, and her dog Willie. Her ever present smile, contagious personality, and love for life, family, and friends will be forever missed.
