Obituary of Charlene W. Brown

Charlene W. Brown was born to Lily Mae Booker and Lester Ward on January 13, 1940. Charlene grew up in Lubbock, TX. There she graduated Dunbar High School. Shortly after she became the mother of Mark, Michael, Cynthia, Robbie and Frank Goree Jr. Charlene and her children eventually moved to Seaside, CA. where she participated in multiple charities and had various jobs. She was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever the opportunity presented itself. She was also the rock of her family. She attended both New Hope Baptist Church and Victory Temple Church. She is survived by her husband James “Bubba” Brown, her siblings Lester Ward Jr., William Ward, Tony Ward, Roy Ward, and Aline Ward. A host of grand and great grandchildren, and family and friends. She is proceeded in death by her sisters Shirley Booker and Lester Joe Mooring, her son Frank Goree Jr. and her grandson Michael D. Johnson Jr. She spent her final days in Los Banos, CA. The lord called her home on November 9, 2019. She is mourned by family and friends. We honor today, Charlene W. Brown.
