Obituary of Mike Trovato

Mike Trovato passed away on October 4, 2013. He was 90 years old. Mike was a lifelong resident of Monterey and he adored his Peninsula. He is comfortable that he passed in the community that he loved surrounded by the people he loved. He contributed so much; this talent extended not only through his unique building skills, but he was gifted with the ability to play the organ, violin, and had artistic creativity in oil painting. Mike was a baker- his éclairs will go down in history and have been enjoyed by family and friends over the years. Mike was blessed to find the 2nd love of his life, his wife of 13 years, Joanna. They found joys in traveling and taking cruises- and their love flourished. He is survived by his wife, Joanna; his loving children, Tom (Trish), Michael (Debbie), and Jodi (Ron); his adoring grandchildren, Michael, Marc, Michelle, Melissa, Rob, and Clay; his great-grandchildren, Kylie, Bodi, and Max; his sister, Rosemarie; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Joanna's 7 children, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who have come to love him and know him as Papa Mike. He was predeceased by his brothers, Tom who was a victim at Pearl Harbor, and Tony.
