Obituary of Rosalee James
Seaside -
Rosalee James, age 80 went to be with the Lord on September 4, 2013.
She was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina July 15, 1933 to Bill & Louise
Sharper. Rosalee met and married Ewalker James in Belton, Texas on June 3, 1955.
Rosalee is survived by her loving husband Ewalker of 58 years. They are the
proud parents of three sons: Kelvin D. James (Marsha), Brian R. James (Cynthia),
and Kenneth M. James (Krystal). They have four grandchildren: Elizabeth,
Elisha, Crystal and Austin Tyler. Rosalee is survived by her four sisters: Peggy
Green, Mary Dell Walls, Wilhemina Washington, Margret Alexander and brother
Stanley Sharper and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rosalee was an active member of the New Hope Baptist Church of Seaside, a life
member of the NAACP, past president of the Ladies Auxiliary, RMSC, a member
of the Monterey Jazz Festival Legacy Circle, past member of the Citizens League
for Progress and past member of the Seaside Cultural Art Group.
A visitation will be held at the Seaside Funeral Home, 1915 Ord Grove Ave. Seaside
on Wednesday, September 11, from 2 -5 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at
the New Hope Baptist Church, 1304 Sonoma Ave. Seaside on Thursday, September
12, at 11 am, with burial to follow at Mission Memorial Park in Seaside.
