In Loving Memory of Cora Dean Stewart

August 6, 1931- December 29, 2018

Cora Stewart passed away at Cypress Ridge Care Center in Monterey at the age of 87. She is survived by her daughter, Lucy (Ronald) Busby of Seaside; granddaughters, Lorayne and Reina Busby; and great-granddaughter, Isabella Marie Seefeld.

Cora was born in Colorado to her parents Sadar Dean and Rafaela Soto Dean. Her surviving siblings are sisters Mary Mayo, Jennie Allen and brother Henry Dean, along with many beloved neices and nephews. Predeceased brothers were Joe Dean and Johnny Dean.

Cora was married to Stanley Velasco in 1948, Felix Somuba in 1952and Roger Stewart in 1975. She lived on the Monterey Peninsula for over 60 years. Cora worked in retail sales and made many close friends.

Cora loved music, dancing, going to Lake Tahoe and above all, her family. She was blessed with a big heart and was loved by many in return.

The family wishes to thank the entire staff of Cypress Ridge Care Center for all their loving care and kindness.
