Obituary of Thelma Jones

Seaside - Thelma Jones, age 80, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Thelma was born September 3, 1932 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was a resident of the Monterey Peninsula for over 60 years. Thelma was a homemaker and worked for 20 years as a part-time retail clerk for Ray's Department Store. She will forever be remembered as a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Sister. Thelma is survived by her husband of 64 years, Earl Jones of Seaside; grandchildren Melissa Pitruzzello (Salvatore) of Seaside, Jesse Jones ( Carly) of Portland, Oregon; great grandchildren Eugene Jones and Salvatore V. Pitruzzello; siblings Clarence Harvey, Howard "B.B." Harvey ( Diane), Phil Harvey ( Judy), Carolyn Barnes ( Larry), and Jerry Harvey (Nancy). Thelma was preceded in death by her son Earl Eugene "Gene" Jones Jr. Thelma was a bright woman with a strong will and a sharp sense of humor. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy and comfort in her last years. Services will be held Monday, August 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Mission Memorial Park, 1915 Ord Grove Ave., Seaside, CA.
