Obituary of Eloise T. Rhimes

Eloise Taylor Rhimes was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 26, 1936 to Allen and Elvira Taylor. Eloise was educated in the St. Louis public school system. She was a proud member of the Vashon High School Class of 1953. Eloise went on to complete her Bachelor of Nursing degree at Forest Park College of St. Louis Missouri. Eloise then went on to become a valued ER Registered Nurse for 30 yrs. At Barnes/Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Eloise gave birth to three daughters who she was very proud of; Jocelyn Marie Rhimes, Allisyn Marie Gonzales, and Denise Louise Jake. Mom was active in her community, Church, and multiple Social Organizations. Eloise accepted Christ as her personal Savior and worked as an usher at Central Baptist Church under her Pastor Rev. Robert C. Scott. Eloise made St. Louis her home until 2007 at which time her health began to fail, her devoted daughter Denise traveled back to St. Louis to bring her mom back to California. Eloise affectionately called "Memaw" by all who knew and loved her, joined Greater Victory Temple COGIC under the pastorate of Bishop W.W. Hamilton in 2007. Memaw loved her GVT family and felt right at home from the start, she was proud to be a part of the Eighty and Up Club. Eloise lived out her days in peace, love and happiness. Eloise was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 24, 2017. She leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her life; Three daughters, Denise L. Jake, Jocelyn M. Rhimes, Allisyn M. Gonzales (Larry); three grandchildren, Allen, Alvln, Alisha Huntspon; nephews, William (Jerry) Speed (Sylvia), Reginald Taylor, Donell Simmons, George E. Taylor, and Allen Taylor, Grover Jr. and Tony Fitzpatrick; Nieces, Janene Wilson, Elizabeth R. Smith (Von), Patricia A. Taylor, Sherry M. Heiken (Major), Fitzpatricks-Pat, Sandra, Theza, Dana, and Gwen; Sister Friends, Moma Jackie Smoots, Ms. Vivien Dobbs, Ms. Loretta, Ms. Johnnie Sue, All the Ladies of Vashon Class of 1953 #Vashon Rocks!; Best Buds, Mr. Lester Williams, Mr. Floyd Robinson, Mr. Eugene Jake, Mr. Rayfeal Lewis, Larry Gonzales; God daughters, Ms. Kalethia Williams, Juanita Smith, Wanda Smith, Valerie Duddley, Regina Richmond, Annette Garnett and a host of relatives.
