Obituary of James Butler

James "Jimmy" Butler passed away peacefully at his home on Sept. 16, 2013. Jimmy spent 23 years in the US Army and retired in 1982 with honors. He then became a police officer for the Presido in Monterey, retiring from Civil Service after 10 years. Jimmy gave generously his time and finances to various childrens and veterans organizations throughout the Central Coast. In his spare time, Jimmy was an avid bowler receiving numerous trophies. He loved watching football, especially his Pittsburgh Steelers and putting together puzzles which hang on the walls throughout his apartment. Jimmy's favorite past time and Number One priority, was spending time with and caring for his wife and best friend Kimmie, as well as Zelda Woo and Morty Two. Jimmy will be buried at San Joaquin National Cemetery with military honors at a date to later to be announced. Close friends and family will be notified. His spirit will be with us always.
