Obituary of Helen Mabel Schmeltz

Helen Schmeltz resident of Seaside passed away on April 7th 2018 at age 102. Helen was born on February 13, 1916 in River Park, South Bend, Indiana, the youngest of 7 children. She moved with her family to Pacific Grove in 1928 at age 12. She graduated from Robert Down grade school where her son and daughter also attended. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years James Schmeltz and daughter Claudia Egbert. She is survived by her son Robert Schmeltz, her son in law John Egbert, 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 21st at Mission Memorial Park, 1915 Ord Grove Ave., in Seaside at 11:00 am.
