Obituary of Corazon Santos Cordero

Corazon Santos Cordero of Ormoc City, Leyte Philippines has entered eternal life on March 25, 2019 from her home in Seaside, California, surrounded by her family. She leaves behind three children Fred (Patricia) and Mario Cordero and Elena (Jerry) Infeld, six grandkids Ricardo (Bernice), Francis and Josephine Lopez, Casey and Justin Cordero and Heather (Brandon) Steffen, seven great grandkids: Amber, Allysa (Brandon), Aleia and Alize (Eric) Lopez, Katie, Dominic and Khole Steffen and three great-great grandkids: Nico, Bradley and Elliana. She has joined her husband Prudencio Cordero, daughter, Lety and son, Wally along with her granddaughter, Prudence Cordero and grandson, Johnny Lopez in heaven.

Corazon resided in Seaside for 56 years. Like many military families, she loved the area. She and her husband Prudencio would often drive by the beach on their way home from work. She would often speak of how the beauty of the Pacific Grove coast reminded her of her home in the Philippines.

She was gregarious and outgoing. She loved people, and she really loved her family. She was blessed with 4 generations of kids and was often surrounded by many of them. She was the center of love and family. “Grandma” will always remain in our hearts.

The family extends deepest thanks to the medical staff at CHOMPS for their exceptional and compassionate care of Corazon during her life. Remembrances, in Corazon's name, may be sent to the Montage Health Foundation (the charity for CHOMPS).

Services were held at St. Francis Xavier Parish and taken to her final resting place at Mission Memorial Park in Seaside, California on March 29, 2019.
