Obituary of Salvatore Paul Lombardo

SALVATORE PAUL LOMBARDO October 3, 1922 - October 4, 2010 MONTEREY, Sal Lombardo, 88, was born in Pittsburg, CA to Antonio and Patrina C. Lombardo. Sal moved to Monterey at the age of 5, went to Monterey High School, and married his sweet heart Rose Marino in 1942. He served in the Army in WWII as an ambulance driver with the 4th armor division, earning 5 battle stars, and the Presidential Unit Citation. A retired Sales Manager of 30 years for Sparolini Distributors Co., also a past Grand Knight for the Monterey Knights of Columbus. Sal is survived by his loving wife Rose, of 68 years, and children Patricia Amato (Baldo), Frances Lucido (Frank), and Anthony Lombardo (Jody), and many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Service will be held on Friday October 8th, @11:00am in the Santa Rosalia Chapel, in the San Carlos Cemetery. Special thanks to Nurse Jody with the VNA Hospice care.
