Obituary of Allan Lloyd Mayland

Allan Lloyd Mayland December 5, 1952 ~ October 12, 2010 CARMEL VALLEY - Allan passed away peacefully after an eight month battle with cancer. Wife Melinda, daughters, Melanie, Danielle and friends were by his side. He was the son of Lloyd and Harriet Mayland. With sisters, Janet Mayland and Arol Lund, the Maylands arrived in Carmel in 1967. Allan graduated from Carmel High School in 1971. He served in the Army from 1973-77 and trained in Microwave Radio Satellite Telecommunications. Allan worked for COMSAT, Jamesburg Earth Station from 1978-90 and related work until 1992. Following his true passion for cars, he became an auto technician for Cardinale Mitsubishi 1995-05, then Porsche of Monterey until diagnosis in February 2010.
