Obituary of Sheryl Jean Sitterly

Sheryl Jean Sitterly entered into eternity with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, September 22, 2017. Sheryl was born in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California on March 31, 1949 to Peter and Juanita Giacalone. She attended Del Rey Woods School, Fremont Junior High School, and graduated from Monterey High School in 1967. Her first job was working as a telephone operator for Pacific Bell Telephone Company in Monterey. After working there, she became a bank teller for First Interstate Bank, and later for Bank of America. She became a realtor for a time, and later opened her own daycare in her home, called Big Bear Day Care. She also worked as a preschool teacher for the Naval Postgraduate School for 13 years. Sheryl is survived by her sister, Shelly Carroll, and brother-in-law, Ron, of Kiowa, Colorado, her son Mike and his wife Sheri, of Prescott, Arizona, son Peter and his wife, Christie, of Spreckels, California, seven grandchildren, Mikel, Mikayla, Abbey, Shelbey, Riley, Joey, and Anthony, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Sheryl was a charter member of Cypress Community Church. In recent years, she enjoyed attending The Country Church in Castroville.
