Obituary of Vincent N. Riso

Monterey, CA - Lifelong resident, Vince Riso, passed away on April 9, 2014. After graduating from Monterey High School, Vince joined the Air Force and was later a meat cutter for our Ft. Ord troops. He loved being a teacher, was a member of the Musicians Union (he loved the drums) and coaching at Junipero Serra School in Carmel. However, his real passion was for his wife of 62 years, MaryAnn; his children and his Catholic faith (Italian Catholic Federation). He was predeceased by his parents, Gennaro and Rose Riso; and is survived by his loving wife, MaryAnn; children, Rosemary (Bill) Valuch, Vincent (Adele) Riso, Jr., Anthony (Anastasia) Riso and Joseph (Jennifer) Riso; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Viewing is on Monday, April 14, 2014, starting at 4:00pm with Vigil at 7:00pm and Funeral Mass on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 9:30am at San Carlos Cathedral in Monterey.
