Obituary of Cynthia Lee Wallich

Seaside - Cynthia Lee Wallach (Rodrigues) was born in Seoul, South Korea on February 10, 1957 to Donald & Sue Wallich. She passed away from pancreatic cancer on April 4, 2014. She was 57 years young. She was the oldest of three children. She is survived by her immediate family of husband Samuel, daughter Jennifer, and son Dante, her father Donald, and her brother Michael. Beloved sister Mary and mother Sue passed away recently. She has two beautiful grandchildren, Morgan and Chloe through daughter Jennifer and her husband Kyle. She also has nieces Christine Wallich and Jessica Wallich-Rubidoux and grandniece Charlotte. She graduated from Seaside High School in 1975, and also attended M.P.C. Through school, growing up locally, and extended family, she had many lifelong friends. At the time of her passing, she was employed by Monterey Unified School District as a bus driver. She was very passionate about her "kids" and she knew each and every one personally. She had some kids in the past that rode her bus that could sign only, so she took several classes in sign language to be able to communicate with them. She also took some Spanish lessons so that she could communicate with children that were from Spanish speaking families. She was a generous person and gave whatever she could of herself, her time, knowledge, and friendship. She attended church regularly at Faith Lutheran Church in Seaside. Cindy excelled at cooking, baking, knitting, and gardening in her time off, and enjoyed working with her hands. She also learned to ride a motorcycle. She loved her pets, especially her Jack Russell Terrier, Comet and shepherd Pandy Lou before him. Being a military "brat", Cindy and her siblings attended their fair share of schools in Korea, the state of Washington, and here in the Monterey bay area. Cindy loved life and her family and though she didn't travel the world like her sister Mary, she probably went to every tourist destination in California and Mexico, where she learned to bargain! In her spirited way, she was adventurous and loved to have fun. Cindy was Loving, Fearless, Proud, and Outspoken when she needed to be. Cindy's family would like to thank the staff at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula and Dr. Hausdorff for the kindness and care over the years.
