Obituary of Orlando Rosario Amelio

Monterey- Larry went to be with our Lord on Thursday, October 3, 2013. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend to all. As a native of the Bronx, New York Larry was a very proud NY Yankee fan, served in the navy during WWII, retired after 34 years with the Pacific Bell Phone Company and was a member of the Monterey Elks Lodge, the Italian Catholic Federation and "The Telephone Pioneers." Larry was predeceased by his first wife, Nina, daughter Maryanne, parents Eugenio and Marie and numerous brothers and sisters. He is survived by loving wife of 43 years Katherine; sons Larry Jr. (Joan) and Joe (Tawny); stepchildren Genelle (Ron), Annette (Mike) and Barney (Natalie); siblings Josie, Anna Marie and John; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Larry was indeed a wonderful man having a profound impact on all who knew him. He will be sorely missed.
